Love Life!

Hello there,

Welcome to my blog!  I wanted an avenue to share what I love like make up, fashion and many other things. I hope people will find this blog relatable and influential.

Love life! We only have one chance to do the things we want in this lifetime and we'll surely miss a lot of things if we don't make the most out of it. We know that the chance of reliving our lives and changing the things the way we want to transpire is not an option.
I came to a point where I realized that I can either be one of these: somebody who lives a life with full of ‘what ifs’ or be somebody who opts to live a life well-lived with the conviction of making things truly happen. And there's no doubt, I chose to be the latter.

Taken in one of our family vacation.

Love life! It will not always be as perfect as it will absolutely have its highs and lows, but for sure there will also be highlights that will add sparkle to your life and will definitely make all the challenges worth it.

Looking back, the life and plans I have imagined for myself were far from which I'm currently living but I have learned to appreciate what God had planned for me. I found it hard to accept at first since I am the kind of person who plans everything and follows through every step. I can still remember how much I have conditioned myself in making my dream job a reality, and that was to become a cabin crew member. For me, being one was like hitting two birds with one stone, I would be able to earn and fly to all my favorite destinations for free. I was completely delighted when I got accepted and hired by our national flag carrier even before I had graduated. But due to some reasons that were beyond my control, I resigned and was not able to get it back. In a blink of an eye, I felt like my whole world had come crashing down, it did not make sense to me at all.

As my cousin would say, “Dream not only to reach the stars but to touch them.” I was in total disbelief when I realized that my star was already in my grasp but I was not able to hold on to it. Letting it go got me depressed, that was the time when I told my parents, “Take me away, I don't care where I go, just take me out of the Philippines!” That experience lead me to Kuwait, and my oh my what was I thinking! The first few months there were amazing, it was all about discovering a whole new world until reality hit me. I asked myself, “Why am I here?” My life style had totally shifted into a 360 degree change. If it wasn’t for my husband,  (then my boyfriend) I wouldn’t have stayed that long. I stayed for almost a year. I earned quite a good amount of money but I hated my lifestyle, it felt like I was living my life with no purpose. When I found out that I was pregnant a little over a month after we got married, I told my husband I was ready to go home. So, we made our initial plans of what we wanted for our lives, and where do we want to live.

My family
We had plans to migrate somewhere, our choices were either Spain or Canada. So we tried our luck, my husband applied for jobs and there was an opportunity for him to work in Singapore. I said, “Great! I can come for a visit anytime,” but God had a different plan. An old friend convinced him to apply for Canada. He asked me if he should pull out his visa application for Singapore so that he could apply for Canada but I told him that there was a lot of difference in the job position and pay. Although it was very tempting to just take the most convenient and easy choice for us, I reassured  him that it will just be a little sacrifice for us to make in order  to get to our greater goal of migrating to Canada. After 10 years here in Canada, I can say that life has been good to us. It was certainly not an easy road to take since we started from scratch when we followed back in year 2008 but we're  glad we made it through. We now both have stable jobs and working on a much bigger plan for our family. I believe that God had finally shown me my life's purpose.

My mini me: Edlouise.

And  my journey to committing my life in fulfilling our goals starts here...  I wanted a platform free for all to read and relate with. I created this blog so that I can freely express myself, showcase my personal style and share my ideas, views and inspirations.

I am looking forward to collaborate with my daughter Edlouise, few of my friends and family like my sisters.

Let’s get started! Take a glimpse of my world, my style and the people in it! Ta-ta!

Yours,

Theresa

My Beauty Essentials!

S kincare. My Beauty Essentials This is something that is often neglected by many. I believe that if we want to have great skin, then we should invest in it, and not take it for granted. Along with these you must cultivate a happy disposition and healthy lifestyle. Beauty comes from within and it radiates out in our aura more than we perceive, so it is as important as your regimen. As we all know having flawless skin is the key in achieving great looks with or without make-up, so as early as possible let us take good care of our skin. Surprise! Surprise! I am very excited to share with you the products that I love and I indulge in. First, I prep my skin with double cleansing method. What is double cleansing method? It is a process where you use two types of cleanser to deeply eliminate make-up, sebum that clogs your pores, excess oils and other water-resistant products. This method has a reverse effect on oily and combination skin like mine. I was reluctant t...

Defining my Style and my Closet Essentials!

D efining my style have started a long way back. As far as I can remember, I started experimenting on my sense of style as early as high school but I had more freedom in College when I was doing a lot of modelling gigs and I was earning extra money from it. I have always love elegance and class, I find that I have dressed more mature than my age, and I always thought I have an old soul, (this makes me smile) and overtime I fell in love with Chic outfits. Why is it important to define your style? Defining your style will influence how you shop and how you will build your wardrobe. You must define your personality as well and anchor them together so that what you wear will express your inner self. Your beauty, your truth, your feelings. I am lucky to have attended many workshops/classes in personality development and these include the fundamentals of dressing. In dressing fit and cut is highly important, it can make it or brake the look. I also got lucky to work with di...

My Journey to a better version of ME!

Pre-pregnancy Love yourself and your life – by doing so, it will motivate you to achieve a better version of yourself. @105 lbs one of my modelling comp cards pictures. I don't always have this perfect sunny disposition, but this is a commitment I make every day. With what I have been through you can say my life is full of colors and different shadings but what I have learned through this journey in life is that we decide what we make of ourselves and how we are going to touch the lives of people around us. And for me it is to inspire, influence, and care in the most positive way possible. I am not a Saint by all means, I will take no crap from anyone, nor conform with anything that doesn't fit my principles. Or even subject myself to be classified based on the judgement of others of who I am supposed to be in their eyes. After my first attempt to lose weight.  You see, it's all about perspective and I have learned to be resilient from being...
